    Description

I'm thrilled to offer for sale this amazing and rather rare antique Vaseline/uranium glass biscuit jar with the following features:
Likely made in the late 19th century
Traditional satin yellowish-green color, which is highly accentuated and luminescent under blacklight due to the presence of uranium in the glass
The glass jar itself is 4.75" tall and 5" wide (15.5" in circumference)
    9.5" total height including handle
    Weighs 1 pound 3 ounces
The jar is severely ruffled/crinkled/textured and features 6 horizontal rows of tiny dots
The silver collar also features the same row of tiny dots
The lid is likely pewter and features an acanthus finial
In excellent condition, with a few surface scuffs to the glass and pewter, but nothing significant
While there are no makers marks, it's clearly expertly made
I have two of these: this one and a slightly larger one, which you can find by visiting my eBay store. Thank you.
Please be sure to open the Shipment and Payments tab to see the various shipping options. I always provide as many shipping options as possible, given that some are better than others for different regions. The cost on the main page is not always the best, so choose the best option during checkout. Please note that I always use the correct box measurements and weight, so if shipping is expensive, it's because the major carriers continue to increase their prices, and because I pack my items extremely well, not because I'm making additional money on shipping. Thank you.
