These two 3" long
soldered
guitar pedalboard patch cables are hand made by me using Evidence Audio Monorail cable and pancake connectors.
Being that the Monorail is so thin and flexible, it is an excellent choice for wiring tight pedalboards. Evidence Audio Monorail is unique in that it has a solid core conductor versus a standard stranded conductor - there are definitely benefits to this that are very easy to hear. Their short length is ideal for linking pedals with their jacks side by side next to each other to save space on your board.
The lack of excess and bulky heat shrink allows the cable to keep it's flexibility - this lack of excess relief is not an issue since you won't be constantly plugging/unplugging and twisting/straining these like a regular instrument cable. There is a strip of heat shrink strain relief hidden inside the plug, which is more than enough for a small patch cable like this. The pancake connectors also help with keeping pedals extremely close in order to keep your board as compact as possible.
