6 inch long guitar pedalboard patch cables. Each one is hand made by me using Lava Mini Ultramafic Cable and pancake connectors. Being that the Lava Mini Ultramafic is so thin and flexible, it is an excellent choice for wiring tight pedalboards.
The lack of excess and bulky heat shrink strain relief allows the cable to keep it's flexibility - this lack of excess relief is not an issue since you won't be constantly plugging/unplugging and twisting/straining these like a regular instrument cable. There is a strip of heat shrink strain relief hidden inside the plug, which is more than enough for a small patch cable like this. The pancake connectors also help with keeping pedals extremely close in order to keep your board as compact as possible.
A bit about Lava Mini Ultramafic Cable:
The Mini Ultramafic consists of a 99.95% pure Silver Plated Copper (SPC) 20 AWG conductor and a 98% coverage SPC braided shield. This conductor and shield material provide for higher conductivity and lower resistance, that matched with a designed capacitance of 30 pF/ft significantly reduces signal loss on pedal boards and enables the best possible overall tone of any like product in existence. It’s outer diameter of .195” makes the cable extremely flexible and a perfect match for any pedal board or rack system. It is the only small diameter patch cable on the market using SPC for conductor and shield. Made in USA.
